On 8 December, the first two units which were developed by Genk Green Logistics, a collaboration between Intervest Offices & Warehouses, Group Machiels and MG Real Estate, were delivered.
Genk Green Logistics is realising a complete new construction project in zone B (42 ha) of the former Ford site in Genk. It is a top location for e-commerce and one of the few sites in Belgium suitable for XXL logistics construction projects.
After the complete redevelopment, Genk Green Logistics will consist of a state-of-the-art logistics and semi-industrial complex of approximately 250,000 m². A first phase with a logistics building of approximately 20,000 m² consisting of two units that can be used separately from each other, including office space, was now delivered within the scheduled timeframe. In addition to the high sustainability standard, the multimodal access via the Albert Canal, the railway and the motorway, flexibility and large scale are the main assets at this logistics hotspot.
The commercialisation of the project and conversations with potential tenants are currently in full swing.
